In order to get to Halkidiki you'll fly into Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) . Getting there from the UK is straightforward, with several airlines offering direct flights from all major UK airports.

Travel onwards to the town of Kallithea, on the Kassandra Peninsula, is around 45–60 minutes by car or private transfer.

Kallithea

Alongside family and friends, we'll be staying in the town of Kallithea. Located on the Kassandra Peninsula, it’s a place we've returned to year after year — long sandy beaches, turquoise water, great restaurants, relaxed cafés and some of the best beach bars in Halkidiki.

Kallithea isn’t a typical “package holiday” resort. Large-scale hotels are few and far between, which is exactly why it feels like a hidden gem. Most British tourists head to spots like Hanioti or Kriopigi, leaving Kallithea more authentic, full of smaller boutique hotels and apartments.

Having stayed here four times, Jess and James can vouch for it completely. Whatever your budget, there’s something for everyone — from simple apartments and stylish boutique hotels to a select number of large hotels. It’s the perfect base for the wedding week, with everything close by and the beach never more than a few minutes’ walk away.

Ellin Hotel
& Spa

For the wedding week we'll be staying at the Ellin Hotel & Spa — and we'd love for you to join us.

We stayed here in 2025 and we fell in love with it. It's right in the heart of Kallithea, a short walk from the beach, bars and restaurants, with a brilliant pool, spa facilities, and plenty of space for families.

There is a pre-arranged agreement with Ellin Hotel & Spa for the wedding party, and a selection of rooms has been set aside for our guests. When contacting the hotel, please let them know which room type you’d like from the options below:

• Economy Double: €100.80 per night

• Standard Double:  €100.90 per night

• Economy Triple: €109.80 per night

• Standard Triple: €118.90 per night

To make the booking process simple, here’s what you need to do:

Email the hotel directly to reserve your room: info@ellinhotel.gr 

Mention “James & Jess Wedding – June 2027” in your email so they can apply the exclusive wedding discount.

All guests booking under this name will receive a 10% discount, which the hotel is offering solely for our wedding. Breakfast is included also.

The hotel requires a 50% advance payment by 15 May 2027 to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due on arrival, although you’re welcome to settle it before travelling if you prefer.

Ammon Zeus

If you are looking at booking a 'package' holiday, then the Ammon Zeus Hotel is a large, family-friendly hotel that is located on the beach in Kallithea and can be found via operators like Jet2 and TUI etc.

Although on the beach, this hotel does sit at the bottom of a steep hill (approximately 350m), so there’s a daily walk up and down to leave the hotel to walk into the town.
