Recomendations

We want you to have the best time in Halkidiki. 

To help we thought we'd share some of the ideas we had for the days in the lead up and following the wedding. Some are simply recommendations for your own time, while others are nice opportunities to hang out.

Nothing outside the wedding day is compulsory; we’re sharing some rough plans so you can see what is likely to be happening while you’re there.

Arriving early

Sunday 13 and Monday 14 June

For those arriving on before the us on Tuesday, Sunday is the perfect opportunity to settle in, explore Kallithea and get your bearings.

If you have Monday free, we highly recommend visiting Afitos in the late afternoon, exploring the village and staying for dinner as the sun goes down.

The Wedding

Tuesday 15 June — Main arrivals

The large group from Leeds (including us) arrives in Halkidiki. Nothing is baked in but we expect everyone will once checked in naturally meet around pool with a wander into Kallithea and to the beach to follow to take in the views!

Wednesday 16 June — The day before
Free day

A relaxed day for the beach, pool and exploring. Jess and I, along with the wedding party, will also be making the final preparations for Thursday.

Friday 18 June — The day after
Everyone welcome

A relaxed beach day and an opportunity to catch up, relive the wedding and spend time together. Join us as and when you like—we’ll keep the day flexible, with the option of carrying things on into the evening if the mood takes us.

Some guests will begin travelling home on Saturday, while others are staying until Tuesday.

For the weekend and beyond, we have a few more ideas for the final part of the trip.

The Weekend

Saturday 19 June - Beach Club
Adults

We’re planning a grown-ups’ afternoon at a beach club followed by drinks and a VIP night out at Pearl Club - where Jess used to dance.

Sunday 20 June - A visit to Afitos
Everyone welcome

A more relaxed day, with a late-afternoon visit to beautiful Afitos, time to explore the village and views, followed by food and drinks into the evening.

The Final Farewell

Monday 21 June - One Last Greek Feast
Everyone welcome

Very much a free day, but we’d love to bring everyone still in Halkidiki together in the evening for one final group meal. The restaurant and timings will be confirmed closer to the wedding.

Tuesday 22 June - Departures
Sad faces

The main departure day for many of us, with details of the planned group transfer back to Thessaloniki Airport to follow.
